TOP 10 ALBUMS TO WRITE TO

A good friend of mine came over for a few days and was listening to my iPod constantly. He actually stole my Nano right out of my stereo and then sent pics of himself listening to it. (The nerve!) So I know there is some good stuff on there . . . at the same time, I’m always looking for something new, especially to write to.

I thought I’d share some of my favourite artists/albums here, incase you haven’t heard of them. Meanwhile, if you have any suggestions, please Comment below and tell me about them!

FAVOURITE ARTISTS/ALBUMS TO LISTEN AND WRITE TO:

  • Ben Howard, Every Kingdom (whole album is sick)
  • Coldplay (most of their stuff)
  • U2 (especially Joshua Tree)
  • M83, Hurry up, We’re Dreaming
  • Mumford & Sons, Babel
  • NeedtoBreathe, The Heat
  • Sleeping at Last (All)
  • Ed Sheerin, +
  • Taylor Swift, Red Album
  • One Republic (All)

. . . AND SOME GREAT SINGLES:

  • Sleep by Azure Ray
  • Let’s Get Lost by Beck & Bat for Lashes
  • I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Blake Stratton
  • Haywire by Bootstraps
  • Medicine by Daughter
  • One Thing by Finger Eleven
  • Free Fallin’ (Live) by John Mayer
  • Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey
  • Go Your Own Way by Lissie
  • Possibility by Lykke Li
  • I was Broken by Marcus Foster
  • Philadelphia by Parachute
  • The Travel Song by Pilate
  • New York by Snow Patrol
  • Skin by Zola Jesus

I know, it’s a little eclectic–and don’t judge!

I also have to give honourable mention to Our Lady Peace. Not exactly a “writing-to” band, but they are AMAZING in concert!

Have any suggestions for me?
